This is hardly to cast shame upon Black or white people or non-Black people of color. It’s more a way to open everyone’s eyes to the reality of dating as a heterosexual Black woman in the city. I probably would be seen as flippant, dismissive, or a “savage” if I took the same mentality for dating that I have in NYC back to the DMV, where I grew up.
Many people make bad mistakes when using dating apps in NYC. Make sure to re-read profiles and know what the person wrote before going on your date. Forgetting details is an easy way to get dismissed for being lazy and unthoughtful.
Something about the NYC skyline is truly striking. No matter where I am, if a 100+ story building pops up in your perspective, it’s hard to avoid looking up. According to the Singles Map, the sex ratio in LA sucks. The far north— That gap between the part of Upstate New York that matters and Canada, where everything is boring and there is no reason to brave the cold unless you are on your way from one to the other. If your car spins out on the ice, you are bound to be fashioned into trailer decorations by the local yokels. They get decent weed out here though because it’s a short drive into Canada where they produce it. Being surrounded by fun things to do and not being able to afford to do any of them.
Scrotch is a polite term for white trash. These people tend to love professional wrestling and MMA but have no clue how to perform the moves of either. Traffic— Not as bad in certain regions upstate but for the most part driving anywhere in New York sucks.
There is a reason that all the old motherfuckers from the northeast go to Florida to retire. Nowadays, the economic conditions also make preparing for retirement quite difficult for middle class people. — It really can be scary up there if you don’t know where you’re going. The way New Yorkers claim their food is the best when every major city has the same quality restaurants . New York Pizza is a common delicacy that can be enjoyed anywhere. Only hillbillies in Arkansas don’t have bagels.
